Performance Management Index (PM-Index, PMI) is a model for assessing performance management and its maturity level in any organization, be it social, commercial, governmental or industrial.

In PMI, total nine components are used for defining the success of an organization’s performance management strategy. Furthermore, as the organization proceeds through its new performance management initiative, the PMI goes to categorise the development process into five maturity levels. The score of organization’s PMI is represented using visual charts.
